About Us

Springfield Brick Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Joplin Building Material Company (JBM) based in Joplin, Missouri.

Dale H. Lundstrom and John R. Goostree founded Joplin Building Material Company (JBM) in April 1963. JBM has established and maintained a reputation for excellence in manufacturing and customer service. The true meaning of "customer first" is upheld to its highest degree. At the very beginning, JBM desired to build a business based on quality, service, fairness, and friendliness. Our advertising strategy consisted of "word of mouth" and nothing more.

JBM specializes in the manufacturing of concrete masonry units utilizing an automated batching system and the highest quality raw materials available in the area. Our commitment to quality manufacturing is reinforced by our continuing upgrades to equipment and employee training.

In addition to block, JBM is the area dealer for more than twelve different brick companies, thus providing a full range of masonry products for Joplin-Springfield region and the surrounding communities. In September 1998 we opened Springfield Brick Company and created the first Brick Studio of its kind in Missouri. This elegant way to show brick has increased the quality of service we provide to our customers in the Four State Area.

Our most recent addition was the opening of Accent Cast Stone in Joplin Missouri. Accent Cast Stone is a manufacturer of highly refined dry-tamp cast concrete products resembling that of Natural Cut Limestone. Accent Cast Stone was opend in the spring of 2004 to provide cast stone throughout the Midwest. As a local manufacturer we have been able to help keep projects in budget and on time.
